After Updating to Marshmallow you should check Playstore to make sure all your apps are updated to the latest version for MM compatibility. And like Gamer said, you should update Playstore too.
 
Yeah I figure it's something like that. Though in an effort to fix it she accidentally disabled the Play Store which wipes it back to stock so it's now completely out of date. So we'll have to see this weekend, already got some APKs from APKMirror so that should help. I just hope the issue doesn't lie elsewhere.
 
Since I got my G4 a while back I suffered with poor battery life. For me this device is the worst device I have ever owned when it comes to battery. 7am to 1pm from full to switch off with only whatsapp and a little bit of emails and BBm usage. Wow don't know what to say. Wiped it completely but same problem. According to gsam my screen uses more battery when it's off compared to when it's on. On holiday in Western Cape and when I started using the camera a lot it lasted 4 from full battery. As I typed this post on my phone it lost 7% battery. I want to just throw this device in the sea and claim a new phone from the insurance. Screen is not working correctly too in sunlight. Now I noticed a very light blue patch in the centre of the screen when the screen is white.

I regret taking this device. Awesome specs great camera decent storage space great screen but the battery life is a total joke. I find myself using my meizu most of the time because this device can't even last until lunch time then it's dead...... Absolutely hate it!

Started using a Samsung adaptive fast charger. 1h 10min from 0 to full charge. Worked well with the first 3 charges then something went wrong. Left it on charge went to town 3 hours later the battery was only charged 60% and the phone was boiling hot felt like the phone was going to catch fire. Wish it did actually. After that it takes about 5 hours to reach 100% no matter what charger and the quick charge is no longer working. Guess I should just claim from my insurance and try and get a new device.

are you sure you don't have a faulty battery?
 
Sounds like you really should claim from insurance cuz thats one hell of a dud. Sure the phone can't hold a candle to my Z3...but it's not THAT bad. My sister usually has about 10% left at 10PM after a full day of usage and social crap.
 
Just edited sorry guys. Maybe so after this short time I now lost 22% battery typing 2 messages on mybb. From 42% to 19% now in under 20min.
 
Okay so now down to 10% battery so that is a loss of 32% just more than 30min. Let me put it on charge again. Will be on charge for the 3rd time today.

something is wrong, my battery life sucks and some days I cant get through the day on one charge but yours cant be right. replace the battery maybe?

edit: i noticed that the battery says typically 3000 mAh and minimum 2900 MAh. I suspect some are duds.

I have noticed some apps hammer the battery on the G4, at the same time it also heats up around the camera and the battery loses around a percent every 2mins. PodcastAddict is one, Elevate is another.

putting it on airplane is cheating :D

I have an S4... with no sim card in it, it lasts 10 days in standby mode... but when I use it, it's at 75% at 8am.... no real contest ne

If I don't switch off the radios it's going to constantly searching for Wifi and Reception the whole night that's not there
