Linux Desktop Screenshot Thread

NICE! Hope have a happy and fruitful relationship with Linux!

It is a shame that desktop screen shots are dying out since KDE and Gnome has become so generic, seen one seen them all.

I should actually see if I can mod my KDE session a bit more, KDE 3.5 was awesome in comparison, you could mod the daylights out of it.

Very true, they do all kinda look the same now. My wallpaper is custom made though :) (well, I added the openSUSE logo to my existing wallpaper).

My three PC's now run three different distros:

Work PC: OpenSuse 12.1 x86_64
Home PC: Fedora 16 x86_64
HTPC: Ubuntu 10.04 i586

Windows is only a thing on a virtual machine now. Bliss :D

+1 boring as hell.

XFCE, Openbox etc related desktop screenshot threads are still cool though, I still check out the ones on the arch forums.

Now that you mention it I just looked at my History.... its quite sad how empty my desktop became vs the old days

Oooh Fluxbox, reminds me of my Window Maker days, pity I did not save any shots from the BB, WM days either.

I should really give Enlightenment another go.

Must also Admit my screenshots dont give the full picure of how my desks looked like for example

My wife and children still use CRT's, wife 17" (work) and children 19" (media centre).

I told them if they can show me they can take care of a CRT I'll get them a LCD/LED. CRT is much more forgiving to fingers being poked at the screen, crayons or marker pens and leaving children unattended to play a game on your work PC.

How old are your kids? I find CRTs very heavy on the eyes which can't be a good thing, still got a mint 22" CRT lying in a closet.
