we are on the third last brown segment / pie piece.
And no load shedding?
How on earth is that possible - how on earth are we in brown with no mining taking place?
The mind boggles.
And a "state subsidised" generator for their "state subsidised" house.
With a "state subsidised" petrol card.
Anybody being "shed?" The poweralert site shows brown, but Eskom's site says there's no load shedding ATM.

Ajax - the mines are.
That is why we are not.
By Wednesday the mines will be back on - whether allowed to or not. Or, they may as well start closing.

Site shows no scheduled load shedding for PE today so we'll see.

I just heard from a reliable source that the mines are REALY still down...So why the high power usage then?? If all the mines have to start what then??
It is deeply concerning that the eskom site is in brown - and the mines are closed.
I don't trust that site tbh. They might just be trying to cut usage to conserve coal etc, Eskom don't have much credibility with me anymore.
They are fools then. No one is going to cut since most companies are now running at 120% plus to make up for lost time.
However, you could be right, seeing as how they ARE fools.
