I want to replace my very trusty Golf 3 GTS soon - it's still going strong and in very good condition, but I think it's time for a replacement.
I've been looking at preowned Mitsubishi Lancers - I can pick up a 2009 2.0 Mitsubishi Lancer with 35k on the clock for R139,900 - apparently brilliant cars, and I like their styling.
I also had a look at the Golf 5 range, some good deals there, but I want to try something go for something different this time.
A friend of mine just bought a Proton (Lotus) Satria Neo 1.6 - very good looking little hatchback, and given it a test drive. It didn't blow me away. It's a solid car with good handling, but feels underpowered compared to my Golf, and a bit plasticy on the inside.
Anyone have any other recommendations?
