Good day to all of you!
I am new, hoping I am posting in the correct section. If not, sorry, please advise where I should post this.
I ordered a Core i7 4th Generation on loot.co.za for R639, see attached picture. Clearly states price, and so on. I then today got an e-mail that goes as follows:
"...the pricing information and data that was linked together for "Intel Core i7-4790 Quad-Core Processor (3.6 GHz)(LGA1150)" was incorrect. This resulted in the incorrect price being linked to this item, which we have since corrected. We regret that we are unable to supply the item at the incorrect price and apologise profusely for this. We have therefore had to cancel your order."
The money was refunded, and they added a pretty sad R50 to say sorry. In the meantime, however, I purchased a 4th gen mobo that I will have to return, if they accept returns. Time waste, disappointment, and obviously delays for my plans. I am not rich enough to afford anything more than an i3, and I feel that the problem should not be falling on me. Did they got that pricing wrong? Yes. Is it my fault? Absolutely NOT. I have a life, with plans, ideas, and after waiting a year before being able to afford a PC, and I feel outraged by this behaviour of Loot. I bought something as advertised, and now I feel I shall not be suffering consequences for their wrong-doing.
What would you do?
I thank you in advance.
