sorry to hear about the bad speeds guys, but whoooosh all the way. Its rocking as per usual in killarney/rosebank/houghton
 
I'm having same issue as Sarel above. Just want to know if there's a general issue before posting information?
 
Centurion is down. Highveld Park. I have signal, but cant connect.

Throws me out at authentication.

error 619: A connection with remote computer could not be established.
 
Still no solution.

Every day I need to uninstall and reinstall the software. What a joke.

The Cell C guy keeps on messaging me asking questions. I supplied him with every bit of information, IMIE numbers, SIM numbers etc. Still waiting on a real response...

I have a slightly different issue, but an issue nonethless. I get full signal but can't download anything, I see traffic going up, but nothing down.

Cell C guy also asked me all the questions and still waiting for some real feedback too, but at least he is looking at it.

I am asking very nicely for a Network engineer to be at my residence at 11am to resolve this reoccurring problem, as this is the second time this week that the network has been down.Base Station is 800m from residence. This is the last time I am being pleasant from now on, it will be swearing and very disrespectful language.I have tried nice it is not working!!!!Karin Fourie and Stephen Boils please stand up.

Cell C no longer has whoosh they have donkey speeds!

my Cell C is working fine today, but only for local websites - International websites are very slow if they don't time out...

I'm just so glad I have a Vodacom stick as a backup!
 
Anyone else having piss poor international connections via Cell C?
All local sites are running beautifully. The rest of the world has disappeared.
 
I had this problem last night. I can really differenciate whether local or international. But some sites are extreamly slow and some are very fast.

resolved itself. fascinates me that they go through stages like that. maybe they didn't pay their seacom bill.
 
Did anything come of this?
Nothing came of this at my side, and still experiencing problems :confused:

3G network is down in Douglasdale

I can connect when I force GSM network only, but it won't connect when I force UMTS only , or even when I manually select the 3G network. Also, when I am connected to the 3G network services such as *147# don't work.

Network was down in my area (Centurion Lyttelton) for most of the day as well.. Could only connect at very slow speeds and it was extremely intermittent. Very very frustrating! I sincerely hope that were using the day to upgrade their network. It has been quite unreliable again the last few weeks and looks to be getting worse again, after a period of some improvement. I sincerely hope they have a plan to improve the user experience, I would love to have a 10GB data bundle and have been mulling this over, but don't trust the company enough to take the risk at this stage... Though Telkom was horrendous with their billing and customer service etc. I never had any crap with their ADSL network for close to 3 years..
 
Still seemed to be down last night & early this morning. Anyone else still experiencing the same? My technical trouble ticket 1431503 was closed without being resolved @#$%!@$#

I logged a complaint on HelloPeter and I got a call to say they are aware of the issue and are currently working on it... They don't know how long it will take to resolve.
