I think ur being hacked, big time. Install a Linux firewall...Ipcop is free, quick to configure and runs on alomst any small pc with 2 nics...you dont even have to connect a screen or k/board.
I have installed alot of those and its scary watching the log of how many attacks u r actually getting.

typical ratio is about 10:1 10 meg in 1 meg out but that could all depend on your MTU settings are

another thing you could try is get an ubuntu live CD and boot off that to try things out.
