Lumia 920 Thread

Well my first day at work with the 920, had the tether to my blackberry on the whole day (no whatsapp on the lumia :( ). Battery is down to 23%. That includes using the phone for Facebook, browsing the App Market for whatsapp and the occasional call. So not bad so far

Work out how far that airtime will get you and compare it to CellC. Then work out how much it would cost of that cell c bundle + importing the phone.

Also, as people have pointed out the contracts are more expensive than other high end phones, while the actual price of the Lumia is lower. They are charging a premium for this device for some reason.

My battery life has improved over time, so give it a week or so, im sure it will get even better
 
Hey guys,

Im looking for a decent cradle for my car, for the lumia. Anyone got any suggestions on which one and where to get it JHB region?
 
I've got nothing but poor service from them in the past. Pity takealot.com is not doing the full range any longer.
 
Dammit guess Imma have to import the 820 in Red :love:..For R7.5k odd. Eish.. Cant wait after playing with my dad's 920. My L800 seems so outdated :(

EDIT: Just paged through the new Voda booklet and it seems they might be getting it. Just can't get a proper ETA.

I really think the build quality is good unlike plastic fantastic S3.
The WP 8 OS runs really smooth.
Sadly, WP8 lacks decent apps, or apps I need.

Am sure the App Store will be filled soon, but as it stands at the moment, it's useless to me. Hence it's for sale if any body interested. It's in the market place ;)

Ah ok. Most people are stumped when you ask what apps they need. But yes, in your case a lot of those don't have alternatives.

Also, did you really just summarize the WP platform by posting a link to a single pong game?
A lot of the XBOX live games are really good: http://www.windowsphone.com/en-us/store/xbox-games
And you need to take into account that all those were written in XNA. Now that WP8 has support for native DX the upcoming stuff will be loads better.

Yes I was being somewhat disingenuous, and pointed to something really simple (pong) that seems to be typical of the games I have encountered on WP. But honestly even the Xbox games looks sub-par at best.
