Luno Support and Queries Thread

How do I get luno to upgrade me beyond level 1? I've sent through a picture of my ID but nothing seems to be happening.

Then send a request through pm (private message) to lunomoney with your ticket number

It is supposed to take 5 business days but mine was on 7, and lunomoney sorted it out within minutes of me contacting him.

It is however how I managed to resolve my exact same issue ;)

I was also pointing out that lunomoney was VERY helpful and efficient with my query, it took minutes.
 
I have been trying to sell/convert my Ethereum for the past 3 days and i keep getting the below error.

"Cannot convert currency at the moment. Please try again later."

I dont understand how this can be an issue for so long, please help, im loosing out here every hour...
 
No delay / balance issues experienced the last few days. Looks like some platform upgrades may have been made.

Luno have mentioned that they disabled instant buy/sell for ETH. Why not use the exchange?

Because there is no zar/eth exchange, only btc/eth.

@muTTon: The ethereum network isn't really working right now and for the past few days. It's not lunos fault. Until the eth network fixes it's problems or ceases to be under pressure you're going to have a hard time doing anything with ETH, including buying or selling.

Question on behalf of someone else

If I buy using Luno - at their current price of 219,349 - say R10,000 (do approx 0.04559BTC) - and then sell immediately after - so the price is still at 219,349 - what is the sell price?

You spoke too soon. The lagging just started here. Just have a black screen where the Exchange used to be. Lucky I just got out with no orders placed.

But my query hasn't been answered or even mentioned anywhere before,

This seems to be Luno the last couple days. Every time I've tried any transaction. Even creating a price a simple alert.

How are other people able to place orders whilst I'm stuck with zero balances and can't do anything? I can see loads of orders still being placed.
 
I really find it bizarre that since the end of November, Luno have battled with IT issues plaguing them. Every day I get messages about delays and judging by this thread, there are even more. People can't transact and things are not working. Now it seems the app won't work :/

Yet, when people lose R500,000+ due to an IT glitch on the 25 November, Luno say there was no issue at all and it was out fault?

My trust in this platform is gone and - although you're getting plenty of signups - you're also having a mass exodus of clients that just don't trust you anymore.

In your article published on the 28 November (just after we all lost cash on 25 November), you mention about the trained staff - but what's the point if they can only copy/paste 'sorry' reply with a generic 'nothing we can do' support?

Ahhhh they just came back online, albeit at 10% lower than a few minutes before the outage
