Am I doing something wrong?

Please PM me your account details so I can review this.

Ah pity. I dont want to expose my "current" account to one with the API enabled.

You can create an account and just not verify it, so the account functionality would remain as L0 while your main account is Lx.
The L0 still has API functionality, but won't be able to buy/ sell.

I think it would be useful if we could set up two sell orders for the same BTC on Luno.

Say I bought at R250k and the price is currently R255k. I would like to set up a sell order for R260k and a sell order for R251k. So if the price drops while I'm asleep I can still get out for more than I bought. If it increases to R260k then I also get out.

Not sure how this would affect the depth chart though and whether this is functionality that is offered on other exchanges.

This cant happen, it would be the equivelant of opening up doublespending within the exchange and instantly create a situation of fake market data available on bid and sell walls. Imagine how crazy it would look if you only actually had 1 BTC on an exchange but opened up thousands of sell listings using your 1 BTC.

What you need is to look into trading software such as gekkobot or zenbot , there is a few others also like the very straight forward windows trading platform called crabby.io (only works on poloniex right now) and create a trading strategy that monitors the market and keep adding/removing your sell order depending on where the market is moving.

Support doesn't reply tog tickets so I'll try here.

I have multiple BTC addresses in luno. Is there a way when buying BTC to chose which wallet the coin lands in? If not, can it be moved for free from one to the other?

I'm afraid not, it will go to your primary address. That's the one you created first.
The functionality of additional addresses is only available for receives.

@lunomoney, still waiting for assistance with ticket #275897.
Going on almost 2 weeks now. That's like a life time in the crypto world

@lunomoney, still no response!
How long am I expected to wait for someone to start assisting me with this?

I currently don't receive any price alerts for some reason. Anyone else having this issue? I don't get any notifications or emails about price alerts even though I have set several up. Anyone know the solution ?

Is there an issue with Luno overcharging on fees? The price never dropped below R279k for the last hour, yet a friend sold for a price of R274k using the instant sell function at 12:33pm. It was a tiny amount 0.007 BTC or so, so the orders on the book doesn't really matter as it would have been filled at the current price and the price would have to drop to at least R276k to get a price of R274k with 1% fee. Yet it never did.

I thought the maximum fee was 1% which would mean a sell price of at least R277k. The friend sold when it was above R280k. Here's the screenshot.

No longer will I give any advice to friends as I have no clue what fees are going to be charged. It looks like a 2% fee was charged.

Instant buy option doesn't change 1%, I think its closer to 2.5-3% which is exactly why the feature is absolutely pointless. The buy lose out all the time on this. The only upside to it is the ease of use compared to opening the exchange and adding your buy order yourself but at the extra cost I think it is daylight robbery.

The higher fee would have been justified if you bought and they locked you in on the rate but that is not the case because if you buy and there is a suddenly massive spike they will adjust the order that very second and you would get charged the higher price on buy or lower price on a sell.

The highest trading fee they charge according to their website is 1% and the fees for using instant buy/sell directs us to this page. There is no mention of additional fees.

Looks like something dodge is going on. Instant buy/sell on the exchange works correctly for me though, as per the fee schedule. I thought the fees charged would be exactly like placing an instant buy/sell order on the exchange. Hence I told my friend to just use the instant option to sell quickly with a 1% fee, not knowing that they would be charged 2% (in which case I would not have told them to sell as 2% is ridiculous).

All of the big, decent exchanges offer this - stop limit orders.
