As you can see, a whole lot of drunk kids, the car is being revved a bit, and there is smoke already coming from under the car. There is not only a C63 but also a Chevy Lumina Utility SS, check how they all clear out when they realize the car is burning.

at 00:16 onwards you can see a reddish-orange glow reflecting off the tarmac... :D

Interesting, where the fire started. Pretty sure the cats are nearer the engine than that - as in, right near the downpipes.
 
I guess in a case like that you can't really just pull out, fly down the highway and hope it blows out, eh? ;)

Just love the guy first sitting then standing on the BMW, guaranteed that that roof had a few dents. If the insurance sees that video then there is no chance that they will pay out.

Indeed! It's crazy how nobody noticed, EXCEPT the guy who keeps yelling 'Washa, Washa!' But I doubt the driver could here him over all the noise, the car was already on its way by then.

Lol, the dumbest part! I was thinking the same, wtf would you go and put it next to another car and then runaway/go get the owners child? 1st thing I'd do is park at an empty place, go into one of the surrounding hotels and get a fire extinguisher.

I'm pretty sure that the insurance company will find out what happened - it's too big an issue for them not to, especially with the registration number clearly visible.

Those monthly repayments are going to hurt a lot till it's been paid for...

Indeed, the particular video above was upload about 2hours ago now, looking at Twitter, it's already been shared through retweeting by a bunch of local celebs like Lulo Cafe, Sizwe Dhlomo and DJ Tira, all 3 have a huge following who are also sharing it. I know Vuzu's VEntertainment show covers every Pop Bottles party in detail, and they may just cover this unfortunate incident some time between this week and next week. I can see Carte Blanche also using this clip for a story over kids drinking too much maybe in relation to the drinking age being possibly lifted, and the possible ban of alcohol advertising and selling alcohol on Sundays.

The only thing that could improve those pics is somebody with a large bag of marshmellows...
 
Didn't watch the vid but pretty sure it had to be an aftermarket exhaust. Otherwise why have a revving competition with a C63 - very few standard cars will come out of that one on top.

Ummm a C63 is a standard car, just like an M3...

Possibility because standard M3 has little chance against C63 in terms of spectator drama (noise and tire smoke)
