How on earth to you bring the processing of 1080p files instead of 720p files to a blown motherboard scenario ? As I said earlier my PC is running at 100% CPU usage since 14 months ago. The CPU itself is a dual core 3Ghz so it is pretty beefy and the board is rock solid.
I gamed with onboard graphics once, my PC froze after a really long seesion and when I rebooted it was dead but what I said was meant to be tongue in cheek.

If it was the best why did they bash it for years?
Intel was not the best that's why they bashed it. PPC and RISC were superior to x86 for a time but X86 caught up and they made the switch.

I have never used a mac before so i dont qualify to comment on its usability. You get ignorant elitists from both camps, and threads soon turn out looking like a Creationism vs Evolution threads.

Telkom is a company most of us hate with a monopoly that continually screws up.
Sounds familiar?
I reckon that even if you are a microsoft fanatic you should embrace competition. It might put the company on its toes, and if they screw up our next o/s completely at least you have 2 viable altirnatives.

Not moving to mac though. My experience with xp though is that if i need to do something i look on the internet and find freeware that will do it, i like to fiddle, and i`m a gamer.

(Edited... no i`m not going to learn maya from scratch!)

I don't see why we should be reasonable, we're not Swiss. "I've Never used a MAC" is no excuse not to bash MAC users. DOWN WITH THE MAC. LONG LIVE THE PC.

Properly indeed, I have had XP safely installed for 17 months now.
When I had a pc. I needed to format at least every 2 months.

Do you realise that cannot possibly be due to some form of Mac superiority? It's probably becuase you use Windows much less frequently, and probably mostly for offline applications (I would imagine.)

Anyway, it surprises me that Mac is getting more popular. I would imagine that the global financial fiasco would mean fewer yuppies.
