Widely seen as an operating system challenger, Linux commands less than 1% of market share although at 91% in September, is poised to break that barrier. In November 2007 Linux accounted for 0.57% of market share.

With people becoming genetically more and more ugly in each generation I think having a good looking computer is a sensible move.

This was a desktop survey so it sounds about right. Linux is still a young desktop. If it was a server survey it would be around 80% of the market.

Both Mac and Linux have Vista to thank for the desktop market percentage increases.

well, I got myself a Macbook Pro. Guess I'm just another statistic...

But I'm gonna get my wife a Macbook now aswell. Just love it!!

(My Home PC is still XP, will prob stay on XP for gaming etc.)

Great the McNuts come out ... you guys will go to the extent of saying your macbook is capable of teleportation to feel superior & smug. Your 'god' Steve-o ain't a visionary no no he's an opportunist & a good one @ that. Wait one more cheapshot didn microsoft bail out apple in 1997 ...

I disagree. The young people today are infinitely prettier than my own generation. :)

I think you'd have a better chance getting a parent to admit they have an ugly child or that another's child is more beautiful than theirs. ;)

Wasn't it that MS illegally copied QuickTime and implemmented it in their Video for Windows? All of a sudden Videos started playing back well on the PC. Apparently the same 3rd party developer which assisted with QT development for MAC was co-erced indirectly by MS to include the code in
an updated version of VFW. It was quite scandalous and MS had to pay $$$ and buy shares from Apple in addition to promising that they'd develop Office for Mac. However it was a MS' fault.
 
what have you guys got against a mac?? I have had the most enjoyable experience working with mac lately... (just sorry i got to give it backs soon) (after i've finished editing)

I have nothing against Mac ;)

I have something against any type of fanboy for a product that trolls people's threads and sections with "buy a Mac" or "use Isux" ;) :D :p
