I could phrase that question for a pc and it'd be just as irrelevant. I don't own a mac but I've always wanted one cos they just seem to work which is more than can be said for slot of pcs

Thats why you can't buy parts for a mac because its been specifically tested to work properly under heavy conditions... Even with windows installed on it

I use my mac to troll myBB, Kubuntu for work and Vista to frustrate me.

Edit:
If rumors pan out to be true the next generation of macs will be much cheaper.

So far I have yet to read something that justifies the use of a Mac. Everything I have read so far I can do on my custom built PC running XP SP3. C'mon mac users, you have the money to get the hardware now show us you have the brains to back it up and come up with something you cannot do on a PC. Us PC users can make a list longer than the entire N2 highway of what you cannot do on a mac. See if you can beat us with a mac list.

Oh, and don't do that l4m3zor apple-user move and snub this off with a wise crack, I want real reasons. Who knows, I might just ditch PC and go mac.... if the reasons are good.

Looks you have not learnt your lesson yet...
Now before you embarrass yourself like you have with your iPhone respect thread I suggest you try out a mac then form an opinion based on actual experience.

Edit:
Anyway to answer your question...
What can a mac do that a PC cant? It just works no need to hunt around for drivers, after building custom PC's for years this really is the selling point for me.

I have used macs, and they felt as restrictive as a linux machine to me. So no chance of that.

Remember what I said about no wise cracks ? .... I'm waiting.

Restrictive?... lol in which way? the only restriction that exists is in your mind.

I edited my post to answer your question.

Edit:
With a mac yes I can understand you are restricted with hardware choice, but Linux?

OK, I'm gonna leave the wise cracks you make and wait for someone to respond with something meaningful. Tell me what it is you can do on a mac that you cannot do on a PC ?

And that is different for a PC how exactly? (except the price I mean).

No need to search for drivers or updating drivers just let apple sort it out and send you stable and optimized releases with every update. THAT just works!

If you install third party hardware then the drivers will become an issue of course but this is not the norm for most users.

Okay try making a DVD of the same quality on a PC as on a MAC?

I have Professional Editing software for mac and PC and i prefer mac.

Try doing HD editing on a PC and wait your life away!!!

That certainly is not the experience I have been having when working with HD videos. I encode many of them to H264 without a problem and at very good speeds. So what is your point ?

Roux you're just trying to prove a point, you won't understand because you think you're too clever for your shoes!!!

Let him embarrass himself the way he did with the iPhone. :D

Always enjoyable seeing a mac fanboy struggle to come out the closet not that we would welcome him into our club anyway :)

Guys - so far I have only heard wise cracks and excuses. I still do not know what it is that a mac does and a PC does not. I am inviting you to convince me otherwise, as you have seen with the iPhone, I am a reasonable man.
