Hi,

I have been struggling for so long, googling till my eyes bleed, but with no success, on how to create a Mac OS X VM in VMWare in Windows.

Does anyone know how this can be done?

Regards,

WE

I thought the problem was that it didnt boot from the Mac OS X cd. So with virtual box, it can boot from the cd?

You can create an OSX server VM but not a workstation one - officially. You can do this in other ways though...

Dunno, I haven't tried it yet. I have a problem with my VirtualBox networking, which I haven't had time to resolve, and until I get that fixed, I have no use for any virtual machines under it.

i got osx working in vmware long ago i can't remember how anymore lol...

I managed to get it to start the installation in VirtualBox but crashed soon after. Ofcourse if you can get a spare HDD just go the Hackintosh route, stuff works and you will save yourself some frustration.

Why don't you get a VMWare Image of Mac OSX, I found one and it works like a charm in my VMWare. All I do now is just run my VM.

i have also seen mac vm images that are downloadable via torrentz etc. my isp blocks torrentz, any idea where i can get that allready made vm in another way?

Yes those VM images were created by folks at Insanelymac. Your ISP blocks torrents? What the heck?
