Afternoon Y'all.

I want to find out, has anyone been able to get their hands on a new Macbook Pro/Air M1?

I'm on the waitlist online and at two stores since end-November, and all that anyone can tell me is that they don't know when they are getting stock in?

I ordered one from Takealot on black Friday. Was delivered Saturday morning. Outer packaging said it is from iStore. While iStore themselves didn't have stock. Not sure what happened there.
Edit: Takelot says they still have stock.

If you have the cash go for it. Bigger battery as well as better speakers/mic and brighter screen. The M1 chip gives amazing performance and battery life

Yeah managed to get the Air 512GB from eBucks in Space Gray - what a steal and its just as great as the reviews say

Also looking at it.. but contemplating waiting for the 16" M1 whenever they will be announced.

Anyone know anything about the M1 Mac Mini and where or when we can expect the base model?

This should be available already, a colleague of mine got it delivered a week ago.

Online it states as online stock unavailable - At iStore. Only the higher storage 512gb is available.

Remember to check Digicape as well. They offer the same pricing as the iStore.
So digicape seems to have it - I have never bought from them before so abit hesitant to throw such a chunk of money at them without knowing abit more about them. Have heard the name before just havent had any experience with them in terms of returns, warranty, support etc.

Also I was hoping getting from iStore will give me the option of trading the M1 in for the M2 or M1x down the road. Doubt I can do that with digicape.

Well I'd hope you can trade in.

If you can trade an iPhone you got from MTN or Vodacom, surely you can trade in a Mac bought elsewhere.

Thanks, just trying to do my due diligence before I flood the forums weeks later spewing hate from being burnt.

Are the digiscape ones grey imports?

Digicape are legit. Nothing to worry about there.
