Yes. There is a metal contact in the end of the cord that connects to the earth for the adapter. You can see it from the pics I linked to earlier.

I have two knocking about from my previous intel Airs. But the M2 never came with one.

But regarding USB-C, to cut down on clutter and cables when I travel I use a 65W Ugreen power adaptor and a USB-C cable to charge both my Air and my works Lenovo, and everything else plugs into it as well (it has 2 x USB-C and 1 x USB-A).

Now I have the 15 Pro, no need for a lightning cable either :p

Yeah that’s what I mean they no longer put the 3-prong cord in the box.

So you only get the 2-prong and not the one with the new standard and hence no earth.

So much for being an engineer and not knowing how an earth works.

The plug points had nothing to do with it from the very start.

I didn't say I was an electrical engineer or that I knew everything.
 
if that adapter is double insulated ,i would love to see where the earth goes to.

That’s the Earth right there.

It’s built into the connector that slides out of the power supply.

Apple has for years now not provided the 3-prong extension old school plug and only a 2-prong version without the earth.

I would like to see where it goes to inside ,the clip is quite easy as it plugs into the 3 pin cables as well .you cant earth a double insulated item ,well you can but it then defeats the double insulation ,so that earth must bypass the adapter circuit and earth a pin on the usb c cable
