macOS Ventura

I tried to use Continuity Camera and failed :(
Is a mount compulsory item in order to be able to use Continuity Camera?

The mount is advisable, probably mandatory if you want to do that top down view, but I just use one of these

I guess I was too hasty...I got it working fine and the mount is not compulsory
It will work even if you keep it in your hand :)

You should still get a stand - even a cheap R100 one will make a helluva difference :)

Installed macOS Ventura earlier, the major reason was all the Apple apps on my Mac would become non responsive (Mail, Contacts, FaceTime, Messages, Notes and so on), only a reboot would fix the issue. I've had this issue for the past couple of months, didn't really affect me as I don't use any of those apps.

Hopefully the AWS CDK, Azure SDK for Python and Terraform don't give issues. It's my personal Mac, if it was a work machine I'd have waited.

No issues with AWS or Terraform for me.

Can’t comment on Azure.

Python I’ve only had issues with thing hard coded to call Python which isn’t aliased to Python3 by default.

If anything I'll wait for the inevitable knock off. I don't make nearly enough video calls to justify R600 on that. Fortunately I have plenty of other options.

Nah, I stay away from knock-offs. It's a personal preference I guess.

Interesting, worst case scenario I'll use GitHub Codespaces. I guess using cloud hosted dev environments is the future.

The theoretical problem I have with the Belkin option is you're still going to have that same crappy upshot angle you get with the built-in camera. Then there's the added risk of toppling some of the lighter laptops.

do you have access to a 3D printer?

Xcode cli tools appear to be missing after update.

I use Iterm so I believe this may be something that only affects Iterm, but a quick fix is sudo xcode-select —*forgot the flag that goes here*

It is installed, the update just seemed to mess up the paths on Iterm. The stock terminal worked normally.

I actually picked up this issue earlier today when using git and brew gave me a weird error pointing to an Xcode path

It also screwed up my VT200 theme which made me sad

The idea is quite self explanatory. Check the (many) replies & see if YMMV wrt Ventura.

What are you running Ventura on?

How do your experiences compare with this?
