5min and a restart? Which can all happen after hours while you sleep.
I don’t understand the question.
Stage Manager doesn't prevent you from working full screen or maximising apps. I still keep some apps maximised in their own spaces. But Stage Manager is awesome for grouping all the little stuff together.Yes, I work on a laptop screen but I do a lot of image work. Photos, videos, graphics, etc are all easier to work on the bigger they are, regardless of how big the actual screen is.
I recommend updating. I updated to Ventura the minute the update showed up and I have loved it the entire time. Other people have reported issues - what exactly I haven't looked into - but I haven't encountered issues on my side.Is it worth updating to the new version or just stay on the current?
Are there any disadvantages to updating?

I'm happy for you that you think otherwise but as far as I'm concerned it's a waste of pixels. I don't need it, so I'm not going to use it.Stage Manager doesn't prevent you from working full screen or maximising apps. I still keep some apps maximised in their own spaces. So, the $100 ?, is it worthwhile upgrading?
It's an idiomatic sixty-four thousand dollar question (later upgraded to the million dollar question).Metaphorical $100.

Yes - it's a decent upgrade. I have one problematic app which will hopefully be sorted soon.

I've been burnt before.
Big Sur and Monterey upgrades led to days of issues after upgrading.
Maybe I was unlucky, maybe it was a result of the corporate software that I'm forces to run.
I'm very pleased that everything went smoothly this time around.
PS: I don't understand why people took the $100 figure literally
Thanks to Apple engineers, you can now run Stable Diffusion on Apple Silicon using Core ML!
What iMac you got? I'm currently on Monterey on my Mac Mini 2012, used OCLP to get it running and it's been working like a charm - https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Legacy-Patcher/I’m personally not, my iMac is too old to support it. Looking at getting a MBA in Dec & once I do I will be sure do share my findings.
I am aware of OCLP, just was thinking if it is still worth the hassle. Thanks for your feedback. I still have a Late 2012 iMac.What iMac you got? I think it can do Ventura as well, but I'm sticking with Monty for now.

This guy is prob the best in the biz for anything OCLP-related.
