Major outage at Capitec

It's not just the channel (app/OB), but also some payment rails like EFT. If I had to guess, this seems like some intrabank integration issue where some services aren't able to communicate with others.

Makes sense for cards to still work because that's a direct hook into their banking switch without having to go through various layers...

Online card payments are not working for me. Which means you are probably right.
Payfast - Dead
SnapScan - Dead
MasterPass - Dead
Zapper - Dead.

Authorization works via 3D secure but all give an insufficient fund error, despite the internet banking site reporting that sufficient funds are available.

My banks do that all the time, good to know it is their problem and not on my side.

Capitec have made a whole bunch of enemies... Now everyone knows how the Russians felt when UK froze all the accounts. Hahahaaa... Who needs a war when we have Eskom cutting power and Capitec cutting the peoples money. And government thinks they are in control. The Mass People are getting a rude awakening.

Ok, managed to get the payment through. Seems like internal account transfers are talking forever, and the balance on the internet banking doesn't reflect what the actual value is. The online banking system isn't reflecting the payment either.
