Makro Online refund headaches

Hi All

Has anyone been able to get a refund out of Makro?
I placed an order with Makro Online on 8 July and paid online using my card. On 9 July I was informed that some of the items in my order where out of stock and I would be refunded. I have received multiple emails asking for my details in order to process the refund, all of which were promptly answered. I phoned customer care on 24 July and was informed that the refund is 'In progress' and they will escalate the matter. I phoned this morning and was basically told the same thing.
The items in question are listed on my profile under Returns History, boldly stating "You will be refunded in the same payment method you used to pay for this item. Refunds can take up to 7 working days to reflect."

Any advice on how to get my money back?
 
Lodge a complaint with the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud. Also keep bugging Makro, eventually theyll cave.
 
Credit card chargeback, I dont know why people forget about this important feauture. It is there for you to use.

Thanks, but payment was made with a debit card and due to the amount of time elapsing, it cannot be reversed it seems. Additionally, it's only part of my order that needs to be refunded, not the entire charge.

Well in that case they have you by the balls.

Will do, thanks. They don't respond to emails and I need to build up my strength to stay on hold for 20min everytime I call them.
