Makro does not have it on their website.

Also note that mine has a black frame all round and not the silver piece like the website.

Also noticed that there is 3 HDMI inputs at the back and not 1 like they say.

Watching athletics now and the picture is amazing.
To be totally honest, my eyes are hurting a bit because I need to constantly move them to see different parts of the pictures.

Will maybe take pic later of the source menu, but it says this.

My only gripe with that plasma is the native res on it.. 1024x768 is not good enough and its not 16:9 either....

Thanks, spose the format is the same. My order is quite different though, I also dont have SVIDEO

hmm....for R1500 I would of went for a Samsung, if both were the same sizes..

having said that, I have no problems whatsoever with my Sinotec LCD - don't think the FullHD Samsung LCD's cost a measly R1500 more :D

Did they give you the bracket as well?
 
Just called Game, and they have the same model (MP 42Hc56) selling for R9,999-00. As Makro is selling it for R8,799-00, they will beat it by 10% of the difference, or R120-00, so Game will give it to you for R8,680-00.

Tops.
 
OK, just called Makro Springfield. They're gonna give it to me at the special price (which ended on Monday) of R8,499-00.
 
Don't know if this is a problem or not.

Got home early today and watched some sport and then watched Top Gear again.
Now 3 or 4 times already objects blur and ghost(not sure if that is the correct term).

To explain it. When a face is on the screen and he moves it slightly from side to side once. Then it almost looks like 3 faces, but the side faces are obviously much lighter and very blurry(almost like smoke). This also causes the face itself to be out of focus or blurry. The moment it switches to another scene it disappears.

It has only happened 3 or 4 times in the last few hours while watching athletics and Top Gear. I'm pretty sure it happens more but I can only really see it when I focus on a face or a certain object. Not when there is lots of stuff happening on the screen.

This is not happening with fast moving objects, or not that I can see.
Happened for example when they focus on each individual sprinter in the line-up of the 100m sprint. You know, when they sort of wiggle from side to side and move their heads from side to side slowly.

Will watch again tonight and ask my fiancee if she can also notice it.
 
im really pissed that i missed the Game 32' special 2 weeks back for R3999.i had the cash and i was gonna buy it but i never had my dads id or tv lic.does anyone know if this is anywhere else at the moment? im willing to pay R4500. and please dont tell me to throw in another 1,5k and go for the Samsung because ive been reading too many Sinotec reviews and im supporting them 100%.5 year warranty....i mean wtf does that tell you. any help please :D
 
I am of the opinion that as I require a 32" as well I will have to buy the LCD from Samsung.It is a pity as I would like a Plasma but cannot find a set that is only 32" wide.This is for my "closet".

Correct, there been a couple complaints on hellopeter.com about the sets ghosting. Seems to occur on the LCD's and in particular when they connected to Xbox's or PS2/3's (couple of complaints). If it persists take the set back and insist on a replacement...
