I guess that would be the "best" way to go for olde fatboi.
I just find it difficult to imagine him being on the sidelines for the next 5 odd years.

Maybe this "break" from politics will give him time to become the new tokyo sexwale / kenny kunene: aka tender tycoon of sorts.

tick, tock - time will tell
That will be hard to accomplish from jail if he is found guilty of fraud and corruption in his upcoming big-boy trial.

Plus the failed Concourt appeal against the song,...

the charges laid by the Indian community,....

I'm sure he has made promises which he no longer is able to fulfill.....

It's not a good year for Barney.

He will still be quoted, since he has become a celebrity and let's face it, he sells papers.

What a stupid poll, how on earth is anyone supposed to draw an opinion so early after the verdict (before the appeal/bitch & moaning process etc).

Suspended for two years, then also for five years ...suspension to run concurrently but first suspension suspended for three years meaning he has been suspended for two years unless the seconded suspension which overrides the first suspension takes effect if Malema during his first suspension breaches the overriding suspension, then the second suspension will take effect which could have an impact on the five year suspension which in effect is not a five year suspension as it runs concurrently with the first suspension or is it the second three year suspension?!!!!!

HTF is Juju going to figure this out and who's the unlucky sod that's going to have to explain this to him.

I was getting increasingly worried about Malema's antics... I love the ANC dearly and I am happy that they have taken this action. Malema's actions + utterances did not only threaten the image of the ANC, but the country's image globally was being blemished and investment opportunities in tatters... Perhaps he can start his party now and call it .... the After Party...

No doubt the party colours would be purple, and members would be served Moët during meetings :D

If this translates into his fraud and corruption charges that would help the ANC appear to be fighting corruption.

Maybe that's where they are going with this...

Only time will tell.
