Hey peeps,

So I am using using an iPod 4 in my car and sync'd my entire music collection to it.
It works pretty well except I have a bunch of albums that sync'd funny.

For example... I have some albums that in iTunes have 15 songs in them, but in the iPod the album is listed 15 times and each entry has one of the songs.
I picked this up a while ago and re did the sync, but it taking the same.

Now we are on holiday and I have zilch to do today, so would like to fix up the structure on the iPod. Is there a way to do this without having the original iTunes music library with me (on home server)?

Is the iPod 4 an iPod touch?

Playlists might be you best/only option if you don't have access to your iTunes library.

Yes. It is the touch one.

Would I do the playlists directly on the iPod then Bwana? No way to do it on my notebook still?

Also - if I do them on the iPod - what happens to the playlists next time I sync with iTunes when back home? Will they get wiped, or sync to iTunes?

Soz for n00b questions.

Is there a way to get the songs off the iPod while here on holiday so I can put them on the micro Sd for the car? At least that way then folder structure are maintained. Just a thought.

Did some fiddling...

Seems to only be my various artist albums that do this.
I downloaded MediaMonkey as it allows you to work in the iPod from the notebook, selected all songs in on album and set the Album Artist to Various. The iPod refreshed the album list with this particular album only listed once now. Bonus.
Going to do the rest then plug in to the car and see if the updated iPod displays correctly on the AMI.
