As a default, yes. Looks like that speedtest was to the UK. Check server and latency there.Speedtest will generally geo-locate a server within SA. How many people actually know to force a server outside of the country could be debatable...
True that, speedtest shows that capacity exists, but not necessarily smaller issues or intermittency. Drop me a pm or log a ticket if you notice any dropouts so we can engage the upstreams - we are monitoring various endpoints ourselves to ensure stability, but we can't see every endpoint on the planet. There is a fair whack of traffic engineering going on at the moment as networks figure out what to do with their remaining capacity and how to optimise it. Remember east coast routes (EASSY) are significantly longer than west coast routes.Speedtest is misleading. Internet seems to work fine for a couple hours then it goes bad for like 10-20 mins where everything loads slowly or doesn't load at all. It's random so depending on when you use the internet you might not notice a problem at all.
Repairs took weeks, mitigation took hours. To be fair, everything has seemed fairly normal since about 10pm last nightLast year when this happened, the repairs took several weeks.
At that time, everyone and their mothers started using Cloudflare WARP services as a workaround.
guessing where to aim
Uh, well yes, until you realise that "outage" is relative to location. E.g. those 743 in Europe don't mean most of Europe is down, it means it's down from a specific location lol.
Starlink cruising here lol

That said, it depends where you're accessing. SA servers... a bit slow
373ms is "the future" ?
I will stick with my fibre thanks. Even if we lose all cables to the EU connecting via SACS ( Brazil to EU) or via SAFE (Asia to EU) latency will still be lower than that.
