Mbeki asked to step down

You'll see everyone fleeing the country, this'll be the straw that broke the camels back for many. . .

Sorry to burst your bubble but Anc supporters don't vote for opposition if they're unhappy WE just replace the leadership.

I never stated that they would vote for the opposition? I merely stated that they would be apathetic towards the ANC.

Basically he has been recalled and he took it like was thought he would. Now they are trying to calm the fears in the country. They will not confirm if Phumzile has resigned.

tbf this is actually the best thing that could happen. to have this fracture between the ruling party and government was probably creating more uncertainty than being a good thing.

Parliament? You mean the ANC....2/3 majority. They can and will do whatever they like. The day the ANC won 2/3's was the start of the end as this became a one party state.

ha ha i can hear that, i just cannot stand jesse she almost talks down to people.

just a thought. what happens if he stands his ground and refuses to leave do you guys think there is a chance that he might be assissinated like what happened to his body guard or chris hani.

Well, only parliament can fire the President, not the ANC. However, as the ANC controls parliament it is only a matter of process.

They are now claiming the ANC is hypocritical in "firing" Thabo Mbeki on the basis of an unrelated court case, especially when they criticized Tbone when he fired Jacob Zuma on the basis of an unrelated court case.

Apparently what is good for the goose, seems to be of no concerned to the gander.
