Or maybe JZ will realise that if they dumped Tbone they could just as easily dump him. Try an keep yourself in a job by making sure everything runs smoothly (oh, I'm sure he'll require a bit of "grease" to do so ;))

I am going to vote for the party, that I believe, is going to make a difference in peoples lives, whatever that party maybe. No moaning and groaning as it make no difference.:)

Actually I'm not. I think that the ANC will mobilize the masses through the ANCYL and that we will see massive voter turnout at the next election, not the apathy many are expecting. Once brainwashed with ANC propaganda and promises that will not be kept they will once again vote ANC. At least this is what I expect to happen.

Remember that the ANYL have been making more and more militant speeches and that more or less everybody has been turning a blind eye. They have been talking about revolution and counter revolutionaries. Which revolution? Well obviously the one taking place right now.

TBone's body guard has been killed, whether by botched robbery or assassination we can't say, but you can make your own judgement. My perception is that political forces are mobilizing and that events have already been put into motion to ensure a 2/3rd majority government united behind Zuma and his Umshini Wam. Not talking about civil war or violence (hopefully).

If you took the trouble to read the news reports, you would have seen that there was no robbery. Nothing was stolen from his house, not even his service pistol next to his bedside table. Some people entered the house, killed him, left his wife unharmed and fled the scene.

Lets be calm out there.The fact that Thabo has been recalled is not all bad news.The ANC itself is a party which has ruled S.A for 14 years.We now have a situation where the Young guard seeks to dispose of the Old guard which will form a split in the party.The Old guard will form a coalition with the DA which could be a god send and if they don't win the next election will certainly be a meaningful opposition party.Thabo did not endear himself to to many people by spending to much time out of the country and in my opinion was a fool to try and stand a third term in office.The likes of Trevor Manual standing down with Thabo and our deputy vice president is sufficient to cause a lot of S.A citizens to think.The fact that Thabo has called an emergency meeting of Parliament definitely points to an early election.This country is in for interesting times.Helen and Thabo did not have a meeting to drink tea and eat muffins.

Please re-read the news article. Mbeki called a meeting of CABINET, not Parliament.

The not so youthful ANCYL is looking for revolution. Not against elder ANC statesmen/figures, but against...

Is Tbone so pissed he will join Helen??? hmmm....

Anyone who leaves the ANC internal political scrap goes to business, not opposition.

An 80% victory for one party is not the best for this country.
 
The meeting of Cabinet was originally reported as a meeting of Parliament on 702 as I was posting.I nave no doubt that Thabo will will resign he requires time to gather his forces and to enter into negotiations with the DA.Be calm Gordon Brown is under even more pressure.

Actually I did take the trouble to read the news report. You haven't really added a lot to this thread but sarcastic little comments. I said it may have been a botched robbery, the operative word being botched, i.e. one in which they did not manage to steal anything for whatever reason. I also said you should make up your own mind. In my opinion it was a hit, but I don't know everything the police does, unlike you seem to.
 
I do know a person within the DA ranks who discussed this possibility with me sometime ago after Helen and Thabo met.The person refused to be drawn on how soon it would happen.It is a guess that Judge Nicholsens judgement might have hastened the process.I do not believe that Helen would play second fiddle to Thabo.Rather look at Manuel.Furthermore I am not posting about crossing the floor(now illegal) but about a coalition.

Not a lot of black people are going to vote for opposition, not yet. That is the reality of the situation, no way to change that at the moment.

Anyway back on topic.. I wonder why Thabo did not fight this? Was he expecting this event to occur
