they are after all owned (previously) by C Ramamphosa,

so Im sure its just greed at this stage, one of the main reasons Im boycotting ABI
not buying as much Coke, sticking to Pepsi, although its not available everywhere.

so maybe thats whats going on here? just messing with people and taking as much as possible.

I stopped buying coke years ago, noticed when going to the shops the coke fridges are always fully stocked while the Pepsi fridge is empty, even the light and Max seem to be gone more then the ABI versions.

same here,
I decided to not support a company that does such unreasonable things, like change sizes and prices without informing people.
been very happy with Pepsi, and keep wondering why they don't sell more units locally, and why they are not as widely available as Coke.

I think there are 2 factors involved with Pepsi not being quite as available as Coke, especially the sweetener versions, is that:
1) There's a limited supply of the sweetener products, especially because of the decline of sugar based products
2) ABI probably have a contract in place to guarantee an income of the product to keep their sugar free production lines going at full pace.

Meaning that whatever is left over, Pepsi and other players can buy up.

Had I not already switched to Pepsi Max, I would have boycotted ABI on principle when the sugar free drinks were shrunk alongside their sugar filled brethren claiming sugar tax :rolleyes:
 
I love how it's more expensive to order a burger + fries than to order the same meal with a cooldrink. Ordered a meal and just told the guy to keep the cooldrink.

I would think that putting them side by side would be a problem, since people would be able to see the difference.
