Yeah there's not much else he could've done, if he stays in he just gives the election legitimacy it doesn't deserve, at least now he's exposing it for the sham it is.

No worries, rich countries will just be bled for food aid (voluntarily), which Mugabe will control the distribution of in order to maintain "order" and support.

Seriously though this is just more bad news, but I'm not sure there is an answer here, at least I don't see one.
