I know there was no whistle but he thought there was. That is way different to trying to score a goal with your hand.
Look, if he had tried to use his hand to score then I would say, fine, give him a 2nd yellow. But that decision, was poor.
Im laughing at the United fans saying the ref had a bad game and that Ronaldo should not have been sent off![]()
Any handling in the box is a straight card!!!

For once i can symphatise with the cry baby. He had a clear header when he decided to catch the ball so he must have thaught he heard the whistle...HOWEVER he only has himself to blame for being sent off after once again showing his poor character when he sarcasticly clapped his hands at the Ref ater being cautioned for fouling SWP.
What are you talking about?
Is this yet another rule I have to explain to you?
Handball has to be intentional to warrant a yellow card.
So his now hearing things in his head?
There was no whistle from the crowd that could have sounded like the refs whistle.
What he did was a bookable offence end of story.
If he didnt take the ref for a pop then i dont thnk he would have gotten that second yellow.
lol so players can go around picking up the ball saying "oh im sorry thought u blew" and not be booked.
Go learn the offside rule before you debate about football.
I cannot abide by that.
Gary Bailey pointed that out in the studio. The ref had a poor game because he was affected by his emotions and by the crowd. He is meant to be impartial. In this game, he was not. That is poor refereeing.
You cannot send someone off just because you don't like them. It does not work that way.

lol gary bailey, the same gary bailey who comments on manchester matches wearing a man u top.
The skysports in studio guys thought he should be sent off and that consists of redknapp and rud guillet.
Its the referees decision whether or not to give a yellow. Some fouls they will give it and some they wont(Like fletchers foul) even though they also deserve a yellow.
Taking the ref for a fool wont help your case.
You have never explained anything to me regarding football.
Handling in the box is a STRAIGHT card!! IT WAS INTENTIONAL!!!! I dont care whatever reason u give, he put his hands up and handled the ball. That is a card no matter what angle u look at it.
You just dont handle the ball off a corner, even if u hear a whistle. LoL
