It must be embarrassing for you to be being taught the game by me again. So I'll understand your unwillingness to admit that you are mistaken, again.

To answer your ridiculous question, had he not handled the ball, it would have hit him on the head, and probably been a pretty good shot on target.

So, no he was not.

It was not unsportsmanlike conduct. It should not have been a yellow card. It says it right there in the rules. I cannot make it any clearer than that.

This is where things become complicated. Ronaldo was clearly not guilty of the former, and replays seem conclusive that he was not attempting the latter

When you refer to man united supporters as "manure supporters" I don't think anyone (whether you have a logical argument or not) is gonna take you seriously.

I'm not a manchester united supporter.

By all means call them what you like, jump into the fire. But if you want to have a logical discussion at least be mature about it and maybe people will take your views into consideration.

If a player handles a ball in the box. It is a YELLOW, i have never ever seen a player handle a ball, irrespective of what he tells the ref - the ref will ALWAYS give a yellow card for the offence.

Also, i dont even think Ronaldo wanted to catch the ball. Replays show that he was trying to cover his face. Another thing, what player ever catches a ball from the corner cos he heard a whistle? I think Ronaldo messed up, wanted to cover his face and now he is saying he wanted to catch the ball cos he heard a whistle.

He deserved to be sent off. If it was another day, another player - hell if it was a friendly between Bafana Bafana and Zambia - and a player handled the ball like Ronaldo, he would have recieved a yellow card.

You cannot be so blind as to want to defend Ronaldo's actions. It was the correct decicion. If it were any other player, he would have got a card.

So why is it that the football world doesnt like stars that shine when playing for United, Beckham was hated and always critised as being one of the worlds best, similarly with Ronaldo now.... Is there a link here?

If Messi played for United will he still hold that special place in Genius heart?
 
Yes, he will - just like Del Piero, Zidanne ( who played for the club i hate the most), Ronaldo (Brazilian) etc.

I love Cantona, Keane - football legends!!! They played for United.

Its not about the team, its about the player. As much as i think Ronaldo is brilliant, i dont think he is the best in the world. Last season i never thought that as well.

It is these guys lifestyles that makes them the targets they are their own worst enemies cause they crave the media attention :( if you look at a player like Roy Keane ,he was admired by all football people even though he was united's captain still was regarded as the best in his position ,similarly players like scholes and giggs as well ,most club supporters cant say anything bad about them cause they were absolutely class in their time ,however people hate ronaldo for his arrogance and beckam for being overated and always looking for the media spotlight
