Which ISP are you using on the MFN Network?

Not sure exactly when my upgrade came through as I had an issue with my LAN cable, but I am officially upgraded

Are there any Metrofibre representatives here that can perhaps assist?

The fibre installation was done on Monday (7 June), but the the guys didn't have any ONTs with them so they said they'll drop it off the next day (yesterday 8 June). No one came to deliver the ONT and I just hope they didn't mark our installation as complete and now just forget about actually completing the installation?:confused:


We notified the ISP and we're both just waiting to hear from Metrofibre. We even received the router from the ISP but we're now trying to figure who to contact to get the ONT that was supposed to be dropped off yesterday...

Anyone that can help?

So when the time finally came where I was called for an ONT installation, they messed up with their scheduling and the contractor did not show up for that scheduled installation. This was for a Friday. I called almost every day following that escalating and demanding that they come and complete the installation since it had already been arranged so I felt I was owed a quick resolution. I was never rude, just persistent. They came around the following Friday and judging by the small talk I had with the contractor, I think MetroFibre asked him really nicely to tend to me ASAP so that I could shut the hell up.

I wouldn't put too much faith in them to resolve your matter on their own time, at least not if you want to be connected any time soon. I had issues with arranging both the TP and ONT because of their pretty useless installations department (it's a harsh judgement based on two appointments but that's just my experience). If I were you I would push them as much as you can with your free time. I don't believe they have any reps on here btw.
 
Anyone else on MFN in PE down?

Looks like my moms line dropped around 9pm yesterday. Service and Broadband lights are off on the ONT.
Yes mine went out at the same time yesterday. Logged it with my ISP and they thought it was specific to me as MFN didn't declare any outages. Guess it is an outage then. All my ONT lights have remained on though.

Who is your ISP? My mom is with Mweb who say there is a large outage in PE.

All of the ONT's lights were on until my mom restarted it and only two of them came back on.

I'm with Mind The Speed. They said that there are outages affecting "a few areas" but they didn't think my area was affected. Not sure if they meant areas within PE or just over SA in general.

Very strange!

We're still offline and (unsurprisingly) Mweb aren't being too helpful. Have you had an update from Mind The Speed?

No updates yet. Also still offline. I expect I'll get some sort of feedback today once their support channels come online after 8.

Metrofibre has recently finished with their fibre installation in my area , when I checked on their website coverage map , it shows my area is live but when I check on Afrihosts website , the map is still telling me to preorder and that it's not live as yet , any help ?
