Which ISP are you using on the MFN Network?

Metrofibre's entry level package at R400 per month looks like quite an attractive offer for people like my parents with basic internet requirements. Does anybody use them as their isp and does their network stay up during loadshedding? (Uitenhage/Despatch area)
 
I was away for 2 weeks and was looking forward to the double speeds but when I did a speedtest when I got back on Friday, my 50/50 line is reading 33/33. Logged a fault with @AfriNatic yesterday who in turn needed my ONT serial number to log the fault with metrofibre. Why would I have this issue? I had 200/200 the month before when an extra person was staying with us.

I see Durban in the picture above. Apparently there are network issues with MFN in KZN.

Strange one. I’m also in Durban and getting 500/300 instead of 500/500…. So seems there must be issues then?

Edit:
Seems to be intermittent like at first it was perfect and now I’m getting the degraded upload….

Even worse now.. 500/100 [mention]WebAfrica Helper [/mention] not sure if WebAfrica is aware?

Mine is consistently 33/33 instead of 100/100.

Hi,

I'm with accelerit and there are the most expensive now, they use to be cheapest in the market. Speeds didn't double they stayed the same and the pricing stayed the same too.
20mbps = R453
50mbps = R793
100mbps = R993
200mbps = R1143
300mbps = R1393

AFAIK, they have to increase their speeds because the MFN network has changed. ISP's don't really have a choice.
