Which ISP are you using on the MFN Network?

AFAIK, they have to increase their speeds because the MFN network has changed. ISP's don't really have a choice.
I think it's optional for the ISP to pass the speed bump on to end users.
Most do due to competition.
If an ISP does not pass on the speed bump they become uncompetitive and lose customers.

I'm on a WFH package.
With the previous speed bump, someone at work noticed that the WFH contract said 100/100 so they reduced the speed bump to align with the contract and pocketed the money.

Basically this, but not really. All the lines were updated so the ISP's would have to make changes anyway, but you could in theory just keep the same pricing and set your clients to be taken down to their old package for the same price. Terrible to really do this.

I wish it was noted that while the speed bump and price changes, some ISP's are really cutting it close to the loss line trying to be the lowest priced ISP for certain speeds/packages.

Anyone in The (Seatides, La Mercy) area having horrible speeds on MFN today? ISP cool ideas … this directly from the router… yesterday was fine.. IMG_7230.jpg

Anyone else in Pretoria North area down right now? Like in red Loss of Signal. I know it is not only me, because people up die street and around the corner also went down at the same time. So probably an area outage, but don't see any notices anywhere.

I see a few tickets were logged already by whatsapp and connectivity for PTA North.

Might be an outage but we should still log it to be sure.

How is the new speeds going for everyone?

The 1Gbps has been pretty solid for me. Max speed whether it's 1am or 8pm at night.
Still running 500Mbps, but thus far it seems stable for me. I see drops in upload speed from time to time, but could be server related. Just can't wait for my Gigabit upgrade to happen. Can't wait to download most stuff in half the time I currently download it in

I’m on the 500/500 and upload halves now and then…. Strange!

I've given up with JOH, a total dogs breakfast in the evenings, I just use international. Cloudflare doesn't resume properly and freezes kodi for some reason.

Yeah oops sorry. I see G-Core labs might be hitting their limits at night because on my 1Gbps at night it struggles. I just ramp up more threads and it solves it to force the 1Gbps. Maybe it works because I'm only 3ms away. Cloudflare also works well for me.

Once you get 1Gbps you realize there can be quite a bit of bottlenecks from content provider servers.
