Metrofibre Issues

Guys, anyone else with issues in Kyalami, barely getting 15Mbs on 100Mbs line, pings are horrendous. ISP is Cool Ideas.?

Speed this morning was good, around 8 and good now I am home, although I use MFN as my ISP.
 
Thanks Kyoto. My speeds are all over the place. Maybe a favour please, if you could please check around 7pm. This is when my performance is at the worst.
 
How about now ? (1st May 2018 @ 9.44am)

I'm getting about 9Mbps / 12Mbps on my 25Mbps / 25Mbps.

I've had so many issues in the last 6 months it scary - I'm sad that I've cancelled my copper. Worse is that I'm not sure where the issue lies and there is no pattern. I'll get one day with no uploads - but it's back 30 minutes later. I get home the next with half downloads - uploads are fine. A few days later everything is halved ...
 
A speed test now puts me back at 25Mbps / 25Mbps ... so it seemed to be a 10 minute thing at half speed *sigh*

So my issues were finally resolved. My internet was down 2/3 of everyday for the last 2 months until I gave up on patience.. Turns there was serious dust lodged into the connecting cables at our complex's main distribution box which was only affecting my line :( Glad it was fixed, but I will be changing to Cool Ideas soon.

Maybe you are experiencing similar issues?

Who were you using or are using now before you move to CISP ? Yeah if people dont treat fibre in the correct ways its possible to have your issue.
 
I don't think their technical department is quite up to speed - but at least they did reply :

I took a speedtest to show that although my upload was perfect, my download was at 0.1Mbps. The weren't happy with a MyBB test and pushed me to Speednet - which obviously had the same result.

He then came back and says I must do the test off cable, as he could we it was WiFi (it wasn't) and that my router was not the official MFN (it was).

His end reasoning was a WiFi issue in my house ...
 
Does anyone know what is going on with Metrofiber? Our entire estate is offline and so is their number
