Because Ponting is a cry baby.
Actually is the cricket of the the bloody decade.
Jealousy will get you so far by brother choker.......![]()
When has amla ever succesfully captained a side?? He had one season as dolphins captain and struggled.
Wonder who will bring out a book first...
Micky Arthur's True Story - How they held me down!
or
Graeme Smith's True Story - He never got up!
or
Jacque Kallis and Mark Boucher's True Story - Not even this, can we do alone!
Something needed to be done, I think Graeme should just be coach aswellHis arrogant enough to do it...
Lets not turn this into a race thing...
At least Amla had one season.
What did Smith do to deserve it ?
If Amla was white, your opinion would be different!

Well well, I thought something was amiss with the lackluster performance of the team during the drawn England test series. We should have win the series hands down!! Tossed down??
The tail is wagging the dog. Smith should stay on as a player but not as captain. He had way too much power and I blame him even more than Arthur for the series draw vs England.
There might be a case for arguing that the third test declaration was after building a bigger score than we needed, but it was hardly too late. Smith left our bowlers 140 overs to get ten wickets ... on the fourth and fifth day of a test. We shouldn't have NEEDED more overs to take ten wickets. What got my blood boiling was the late declarations. I left the room a few times to cool down, only to come back and see us still batting merrily away. I blame Smith, perhaps wrongly, for this.
What did Smith do to deserve it ?
Shane Warne for coach!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I heard the commentators a few weeks ago saying that many cricketers who played before 1994 have been left out out of the whole set-up, which is a shame because we all know they have much-needed experience and skills. It is completely irrelevant, from a purely cricketing POV, that they played under an apartheid government. But as with everything, it's not politically attractive.
Not as silly as it seems...arguably one of the most respected in technical knowledge, notwithstanding his indiscretions as a player. I think most people just dislike him because he was so bloody good to be honest...
...nd at least you will get someone who gets on well with Smith
