LG g3 running Fulmics with 128gb Sandisk micro sd card.

Was working fine yesterday I added music, this morning I tried to add music and nothing happens.
Attach micro sd to adapter and insert into laptop, allows me to add files but as soon as i remove and reconnect the card all the files are gone.
Only thing on the card is all files up to yesterday.
Tried to format and get write protected error.
SD card formatter and still write protected error.
Adapter is unlocked.

Ideas?

Diskpart doesnt work either.
Format within phone does nothing.

Is there a slider you can move?

I once had to download a specific program to format an SD card

And if it still doesn't work, it's a feature of failing memory device to protect the data on it from data loss, bin the card or do warranty claim.

Yeah, this was my first thought too. I once ran into this issue and then just discovered that due to some design flaw in my camera, it had a lip in the card slot that would catch the write-protect slider and move it to protected every single time I inserted the card at a bit of an angle.

For anybody who might fall into that trap too, it's this little toggle on the cards:

Ahhhh remember way back when you had to put a sticker over the notch of a 5 1/4" floppy to write protect it? And cassettes you had to break the tab?

Select the “COMMAND PROMPT” and then open it and just write “DISKPART” and press ENTER.
Once opened, write “LIST DISK” and ENTER.
Then again write “SELECT DISK 1” so as to choose your Memory card and again press ENTER.
In order to remove the write protected from the Memory card you need to write “ATTRIBUTES DISK CLEAR RANDOMLY” and again press ENTER.
Finally, you are 95% done with the removing process. Just write “EXIT” and hit the ENTER key so as to exit the main menu. Now, format your SD card or Pen Drive easily.

Busy on the format now at least its the furthest it has got without errors.

Had a couple transcend sd cards that gave out exactly the same way...each replaced by the life time warranty

Eventually the supplier gave me a samsung card after i broke like 5 cards, and i also stop using merge SD as internal storage....hasnt happened ever since

Tons of read and writes on SDs messes it up real easy...now i just use it to store photos, music and vids..learnt my lesson

No luck, went through the entire procedure but nothing changed, its write protected like a mofo.
Put in for replacement, awaiting Takealot....for collection.

Bwahahahaha! Now I can say.... I told you so! :p

Have encountered a few flash drives with this issue, all one brand, forgot which brand, that's how I knew.

Yebo yes, give up now, it's futile!

Try get warranty if possible because that's the only feasible option if the SD card formatter programs can't format it. I lost a 32gb card to this last year, I hope you have access to warranty as 128gb cards aren't cheap.

Impressed with Takealot actually, the return was easy and replacement is on its way.
