Microsoft satisfaction rating nears historical low

My personal opinion is that windows 8 should have more breadcrumbs. Ask some1 that never worked on 8 where to get metro or how to shutdown a win8 PC. They should have put buttons in the corners so people can see from a glans where to go.

and if one doesn't know the keyboard shortcuts then win 8 is very hard to find any advance stuff.

Agreed. I think its biggest flaw too was lack of hand holding with the new interface. A person who knew Windows 7 in and out wouldn't have much of a problem adapting. Someone who still couldn't figure navigating their own Control Panel will sink in 8. +1 to more breadcrumbs lol

People like him were the ones who defended the start menu when Microsoft moved away from the Win3.x interface. GUIs evolve. Deal with it.

That's quite an arrogant attitude *Deal with it*.

From Dictionary.com:
Evolve. Develop gradually, esp. from a simple to a more complex form.

Pretty much sums up what happened, win8 is not very user friendly in my opinion.

I hate the Start Menu actually. I'm with elvis there.

Yeah, I gotta agree with this. The Start menu is horrible, pinned apps / search function FTW. Something that Windows 8 still has.

That being said, Unity kicks it in the hindquarters...

Not really. That's how things are. You can either adapt to the changing world, or fall behind clinging to the past. And if you want to cling to the past, grab one of the many start menu replacements. Either way, the solution is easier than talking about how bad the problem is. In other words, deal with it :)

Win 8 is going backwards. Deal with it.

Exactly. Even the Intel onboard graphics runs Aero like a boss.

But I read the real reason....Microsoft wanted to preserve battery life on the tablets with lower specs, cos it chowed a bit of CPU time. That's also the reason why all menus, etc are flat in Windows 8.

It's an OS made for lower powered & specced hardware. No wonder people are saying "it's so much faster than Windows 7!".

+1 I hate Windows 8  It's the CRAPPIEST OS EVER!

You know, if you want to complain about windows being crappy or too complicated to use, you can always go over to Linux. I also hated Microsoft when they dumped the start button, but it didn't kill me or the windows experience, as a matter a fact, u prefer metro.

What is wrong with Nero 12?

Dunno what it's like now but Nero has become bloatware extraordinaire. Thank god the Linux version stopped at v4 but I will not install that crap on my windows partition.

Ever?
How old are you - 6?

Because he is saying EXACTLY the same as the IT industry's heavyweights, you're trying to belittle him by saying he must be 6?

Let me provide you with a few links, then you can start using Google yourself.

I only got myself Burning ROM 12, not the full suite. It's still exactly like the old Nero you know & I use it a lot, especially to create disk images as well.

But you're right, if you install the full suite, it really tries to take over your whole pc....and it used to be SO good. :(

Off topic but imgburn has replaced the function the old Nero fulfilled.

You are right.

A bit nostalgic about Nero, as I used (and loved) it since the day it was released & still playing catch up with Roxio Easy CD Creator.
