Midrand 3G service bad for past 2 weeks

I work about 1km from Vodaworld. The 3G signal has been terrible for the last 2 weeks or so. Same thing where I live in Glen Austin, also in Midrand. Lots of complaints from coworkers, so its not localized to my equipment. Anyone know what's going on and how long it will take to resolve? Oh, by the way, the speed on my CellC data is as good as ever. Pity there's 9 months to go on the Vodacom 2+2 contract.

Not a VC user myself, so can't report on slow speeds. But like to report that in my street, FiberNet have dug up the sidewalk into and past the VC tower in Glen Austin. So i assume they are upgrading the backhaul to "real" speeds. But this may take a while, as i assume that the tower's equipment also requires an upgrade.

BTW, the also dug up our municipal water main line 3 x, resulting in water outages when i got home in the afternoon. They also managed to dig up and destroy a burried underground telkom cable, which the neighbour installed, after Telkom refused to replace stolen cables. Also damaged two firehydrants, one of which is now permananently leaking.

Another fiber being installed a few roads from me (DFA, i think), destroyed at least 3 indiginous trees, and made passage extremely dangerous, as they just pile the soil in the road, which is already narrow at best.
