Well, discuss.

Edited title as I eventually went with a 5008, and the thread is a general Outlander one now....

I heard the 2.4 petrol engines are rock solid, just don't expect any sort of decent fuel consumption.

Solid car, can't go wrong with it really. Old models looks are a bit dated, but still a good car.

I'm not sure the Outlander is a 7 seater though. The 2.4 is not light on petrol but is a reliable engine.

I test drove 1 a few years back. Solid build, classy and durable materials in the cockpit. Decent Rockford Fosgate sound system as standard.

Yeah, more like 5, which suits us just fine. The megane is not only starting to show is age, it's honestly getting too small.

Any idea what would be too high mileage? I forget what it had, the merc sw had close to 200k, but that shouldn't be a problem for the kraut, should it?

Ok, nice smooth drive, the engine sounded exceedingly rough whilst idling, but smoothed out when driving.

I think though, is not going to work out, and soon enough I'm going to suffer from lack of space.

For R10k more they had a territory ghia, which certainly had the space. Thoughts?

That's a bummer. 98 kids sucks hey...

Territory is Aussie-made. Lots of space; good off-road ability. 6-cylinder straight is very basic & simple which is good. Good value though not a tons of options on the used market. The ST variant was hot stuff.

It drinks lots of juice though.

Friend is getting rid of his Triton for a few reasons:
-Expensive parts
-Parts non existent in SA. 6 Weeks for glass after a breaking.
-10k KM service intervals I believe on the diesel
