Mobile data prices compared

I would get that 500MB deal, but it's no use because most places I go to there is EDGE and bad signal / data connection.

Why would anyone want to sign a 24-month contract in this day and age? What a fail. Contracts are for suckers.

8ta is best

Vodacom vs MTN vs Cell C vs 8ta: data prices compared

MTN recently launched its ‘big data sale’, but is it enough to undercut Vodacom, Cell C and 8ta?

So I use prepaid on my iphone 5 which has lte. And ported from 8ta to cellc. What a mess. Cellc really messed it up so eventually i got a cellc sim with a new number. On 8ta I used the 149 psb for 2 plus 1gb and it worked, and worked well. On cellc the per second billing.

Speed wise 8ta wherever I go ranged 500k to 3mbps. Cellc I get edge at home only in the evenings, so skype etc is out of the question. It's suicide. At my office I get 400k if possible.

8ta is really the best and am defs going for it for data. Cellc is total rubbish for data. Get dropped connections soo damn often it's silly.

I guess vodacom here I come. Mtn is just pathetic.

I'm thinking out buying a Nexus 4 outright and then using prepaid data and minutes. I'm guessing Cell C would be the best for me? I have wireless at home and at the office, so I don't think I would use that much data a month. Maybe 300-500MB to be safe, possibly less. And I don't use my phone for calling either. I think I could easily get by with 100 minutes a month, maybe 200 in a busy month. Anyone got any advice?
