Big surprise in Potchefstroom mobile voice quality

MyBroadband’s latest mobile voice network quality testing revealed that Telkom is the leader in voice calls in Potchefstroom, while MTN and Cell C failed ICASA’s quality standards.

These results form part of a network quality testing project to determine the performance of Vodacom, MTN, Cell C, and Telkom’s mobile networks across South Africa.

Not such a big surprise for me. I've been super happy with Telkom for a few reasons. Not the least the fact that they aren't nearly as much a target for scams as the MTNs and Vodacoms. No advertising nonsense SMS and fewer bogus calls. And they piggyback nicely on Voda so infrastructure isn't an issue.

On MTN. I used to be happy, now my smile has been turned upside down.
I constantly have to toggle flight mode to reconnect to the network. I’m sad
