I recently got a new PC:
Coolermaster Elite 333 case with 2x 12cm blue LED fan's
Biostar P35D2-A7 mobo (with newest BIOS flashed)
Intel Core 2 Duo E8200 2.66ghz 45nm 1333fsb CPU
2x Trancsend DDR2-800 1024mb RAM sticks in Dual Channel
Chaintech Nvidia 9600GT 512mb 256bit Graphics Card
600 watt I-Sonic Power Supply
250gig Seagate SATA2 Hard Drive
Windows XP SP2
My problem:
Ever since I got my new PC I am having problems with my modem. Whenever I try to play online games it kicks out and says hardware failure. When I boot up the PC doesn't even POST if the modem is plugged in. I got it replaced at Telkom today just to find I have the same problem. I have the standard blue ADSL USB pots modem telkom hands out when signing a 24month contract with them with its original drivers. I think it might be that the drivers are incompatible. Every time I finish reinstalling it Windows disables it. I can surf the net just fine, but as soon as I try to play anything, especially Rappelz, online it just kicks out. I have tried to download new drivers, but the last drivers available on Telkom's site is from 2003! Please help! I am missing my online games!
