At our complex, we have 11 CCTV cameras currently. I would like to be able to monitor the cameras time to time on a Android TV box.

Have Telkom LIT box, and despite, trying a few apps that are on the store, have not managed yet.

Tips, tricks, how-to appreciated.

Is there a more suitable device, short of buying a fairly decent space wasting PC, for this.

It is a Pro-Vision system.

Space is the main concern, cost is secondary but a factor as well.

Thanks

Now that would be pretty cool.
By the way, perhaps a Raspberry Pi (or similar device) could be the intermediary device that you need?

Have you tried the Pro-Vision Cam 2 app on the play store? Make specific app for the Pro-Vision range of products (and should support all their DVR systems - I assume it is an analogue CCTV system you have installed? If IP based, then try the Pro-Vision PnV2 (although the Cam 2 is compatible with their IP based systems as well).

Check out the app tinyCam pro. Has the ability to connect to many different cameras. Might be what you are looking for.

Did not find it in the Android TV play store, which does not have as many apps on it as the normal Android phone play store. Will check if it has been added since.

Will check out that app as well, if it is available in the Android TV play store. Thanks for the recommendation.

For IP cameras (Hikvision) I have setup a few Pi3's and Pi2's on some monitors. This I use to view live images only, no advanced stuff like playback etc... (I had the Pi's spare and wanted fixed monitors in certain areas at home)

Just want to basically be able to view a live feed, when i hear something. And to switch between cameras.

Got a RPi I can test with, if it works, I will buy another for the purpose.

There's provision software in the play store I used to access the cameras in my mates pub so it does work. I no longer have it after i factory reset my phone.

I have the app on my phone, Android TV, is a distinct and seperate version of Android, with it's own Play Store. Which, when, I last looked awhile back did not have a Pro-Vision app, available.

Have you tried sideloading it?
