I heard rumours that Google will be starting the rollout on 3rd of November, so we should have it by mid November if everything goes well

Didn't realise that the 4g LTE doesn't even have a 2nd generation yet. That's the one I have.

We don't have a due date yet, but this post looks promising:

Motorola has confirmed the update to a majority of its phones available in the market, including the Moto X (1st Gen. & 2nd Gen.), Moto G (1st Gen. & 2nd Gen.), Moto G with 4G LTE, Moto E, Droid Ultra, Droid Maxx, and Droid Mini. The latest update is that the Moto E, Moto G and Moto X devices would be getting the Lollipop updates within a month’s time.

I'm desperately looking for a case or cover for a Moto G 2014. Preferably local. I ordered one from Amazon and it's been a month and it's still not here. Probably SA customs or post office at it again.

Got mine in a week. Something is wrong bud. Ask Amazon. Nobody is going to import covers for a cell phone that is not sold here.

I got a Moto X about 8 months ago and just got 2 covers and some screen protectors off eBay. took 2 weeks for the stuff to arrive. Dunno how long it will take these days with this postal strike BS

Yeah - anyone got the update? I see there's a way to trick it to do the OTA.. but it means unlocking the bootloader etc.. will that stop the phone from getting further updates I wonder?

I am also think of going this route, but I had a lot of issues on my old HTC after I installed CyanogenMod after I unlocked the bootloader which is keeping me back at the moment...

OK but this is not cyanogenmod, it's just getting the official ota earlier. Shouldn't have problems with it.
