The other Woman (Diaz) - 8/10

Chickflick, but a good one and has great comedy aspect to it as well.

The Amazing Spider-man 2 (2014) 5/10

Too much dawson's creek in this one. The actions scenes were cool, but the 'feels' in this one just spoiled it a little for me. It's like they tried to cover too many genres in one movie.

I like how his chick dies and he just carries on like she was nothing.

Nice one spiderman, teachings us how to not give any ****s.

Rewatch of Princess Mononoke - 8/10.

Still dig it. Tad long winded, but beautifully made.

Also a tad preachy. But yes at least 8, maybe 9/10.

Locke - 9/10. Thoroughly enjoyed. Tense, involving and moving - more gripping with 1 guy in a car than a dozen Transformer sequels.

On the Wes Anderson issue, I'm one of the people who finds his films twee, under-plotted and insubstantial.

Guardians of the Galaxy - 8.5/10.

Very good movie. Loved the performances of everyone in it. Lee Pace is great as Ronan!

Saw it yesterday in 3D, although I'd have preferred the 2D but not on in Somerset Mall. Anyway, I asked my son for marks out of 10 and we both agreed 8.5 also :D

Good romp of a movie with a large dose of humour.

I rewatched The Road (2009) based on the Cormac McCarthy novel of the same name.

Enjoyed it even more second time around.

7/10

A man and his young son struggle to survive after an unspecified cataclysm has killed most plant and animal life. Civilization has collapsed, reducing the survivors to scavenging and in most cases cannibalism. The duo search for supplies as they travel south on a road to the coast in the hope it will be warmer. The man is armed with a revolver, but carries just two rounds.

Hercules - 6/10 (the Dwayne Johnson one and not the other *** one)

"****ing Centaurs" ~ Hercules :p

Funny at times and way better than the other Hercules movie. Nothing memorable though so not worth spending money on movie tickets especially not on 3D.

And this film is another example of how 300's effects team ruined movies forever.

Blood In Blood Out - 9/10

Watched this classic yesterday again. Somewhat cheesy early 90's acting but a powerful movie nonetheless.

Any thoughts on this one ? ;)
