Self/Less (2015) - 6/10

A dying real estate mogul transfers his consciousness into a healthy young body, but soon finds that neither the procedure nor the company that performed it are quite what they seem.

The Man from UNCLE. 6.5/10

It could have done with a faster pace at times, but still enjoyable enough with a blend of stylised action and subtle light heartedness.

Maybe they emphasised the 'stylish' a bit too much.

San Andreas 7/10

Typical disaster movie where you know whats going to happen before it does, and of course lots of stirring music and USA flags flapping in the wind. But the special effects and cinematography double the score to a respectable 7.

Indeed. Probably tried to unsuccessfully seduce men on boat. Scene could've been deleted.

Or they got killed soon after or something. I didn't like that entire segment it was completely useless not to mention starting out with her sleeping on the car.

If it was me, buy a plane ticket to holland, screw a whore there and fly back. By the time the demon reaches that part of the world that shyte would've been transmitted way far into the population. :D

Open Windows (2014) 6/10

"A jilted fan soon finds himself pulled into a deadly game of cat-and-mouse after he accepts the opportunity to spy on his favorite actress via his laptop."
Original; interesting plot but loses marks due to an inconsistent; unnecessary complex story.

This.

Exactly this.

I enjoyed it nonetheless.

I'm tempted to DL the MAN from UNCLE movies from the 60's

  • One of Our Spies is Missing [1967]
  • One Spy Too Many [1966]
  • The Spy in the Green Hat [1966]
  • The Spy With My Face [1965]
  • The Helicopter Spies [1968]
  • The Karate Killers [1967]
  • How to Steal the World [1968]
  • To Trap a Spy [1965]

I loved the originals. Better than the remake I saw yesterday.

What We Do in the Shadows 8/10

Original and very funny vampire mockumentary..

Why is it that Lottery funded movies are so often gems.

Now You See Me (2013) - 7/10

Should've watched it a long time ago. Really enjoyed it although the end wasn't as big a surprise as it should've been.

Ex Machina (2015) - 6/10

Meh. Glad I watched it..but meh

Chappie (2015) - 5.5/10

At the start I thought it was going to be ***. But aside from a few stupid things ( Yolandi's acting and those stupid house robots) it actually grew on me.

And say what you want about that Ninja douchebag, he is *** funny. That scene where they are jacking cars :D

San Andreas - 7/10 - good escapist fun with plenty of special effects. Maybe a bit too long. Some parts seem similar to Titanic - people sliding off buildings and falling long way down, or old couples hugging each other as they met their death.

Only 5.5? Really? I usually don't even bother with movies that low.

Helicopters being used for personal erands, said helicopters having massive fuel tanks and capable of insane aerial acrobatics :D

Well a 5 is pretty average. Depends on how you personally rate them. Me, I'll never give a movie a 10 because there is no perfect movie for me. And if I'm willing to rewatch a movie I +1 the score already.

Ok.

Guess for me a 5 is the minimum, below is trash. Never scored a movie a 10 either.
