The Revenant 7/10

I haven't felt this drained after a movie since Cormac McCarthy's The Road...it's grim and relentless but beautifully-made. It probably deserves a higher rating than I gave it but I took off a couple of points because hey, life sucks, you know?

I need a drink.

Sleeping with Other People (2015) 6/10

"A good-natured womanizer and a serial cheater form a platonic relationship that helps reform them in ways, while a mutual attraction sets in." Slow-paced & generic. Alison Brie is cutie.
 
Spectre - 6/10

Well it is James Bond doing James Bond. Nothing spectacular or ground breaking but also not complete rubbish.

Very good movie for adventure. Youngins should really get into this. Looking for the next one.

One thing I didn't like, hook felt like a cross between Indiana Jones and Han Solo
 
The Peanuts Movie - 8 / 10

The animation is definitely not pitched for the little ones. My 6 yo was bored. My 12 yo loved it. So did I. Good humor and a wonderful story.
 
Star Wars: The Force Awakens - 9.5 / 10

I am an avid fan of most things Sci Fi. This was all I expected and more. The only let down was the absence of one of the characters I was hoping to see and the end which was both (a little) anti-climatic and appropriate.

The IMAX 3D was amazing (thank you @LazyLion for the advice!) and made the movie so much more enjoyable. The fact that it is firmly back in business for Star Wars fans is just superb. The revitalisation of Star Trek and Star Wars are just great by me.
 
Spectre 6/10. Tired effort with a 'smart' villain who just can't find a straightforward way to dispose of Bond. Instantly forgettable and the worst of the Craig entries.

Star Wars TFA. 7/10. Not a single original idea in this helped along by familiar quips and interchanges.
Strong leads but Kylo Ren looks like he just stepped out of a CW studio.
 
The Revenant (2015) - 6/10

No idea why Leo was nominated for this role, he hardly says a word.

But the cinematography is amazing.
 
Legend - 6/10

Not too bad, but definitely not worth a cinema ticket to watch it online. Not sure why it was nominated for anything though.
 
Bridge of Spies - 6/10

Seen Tom Hanks in one movie, seen them all. Nothing 'wow' here either. Nice story, but that is about that. Don't expect any award wins here either.
 
Concussion 5/10

Will Smith must choose his movies he stars in better. Or, perhaps, he does not get asked quite often to star in good movies. Either which way, this movie is a miss.
