The Intern (2015) 6.5/10

Pretty decent comedy; some good laughs from Robert De Niro. Running time of 2hrs is too long for this type of movie though.
 
The Good Dinosaur - 6/10. Photorealistic nature and water CGI but really disappointing story with some moments that felt like nobody knew what they were trying to make.
 
Spotlight 8/10, excellent ensemble cast, retelling the true story of the Boston Globe exposing the Church cover up of sex abuse.

Well that sucks :( Wanted to go see it (lurv me my animations).

But on a happier note - Deadpool, IMAX, Saturday evening, oh yeah :cool:

It's been on the cinemas for a while now but it didn't get great reviews, so I waited for a 1080 whereas I normally take my boys to see any new Pixar movie as a ritual. Inside Out was magic.

Misconduct (2016) 4/10

A few A-list actors from yesteryear. Anthony Hopkins & Al Pacino - and a smattering of other familiar actors like Josh Duhamel, Julia Stiles, Alice Eve & Malin Akerman.

Quasi legal drama. Very meh.

You can skip it.
(Actually a steaming pile of dung) Terrible directing & acting.

Finally saw Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation (7/10) enjoyed it, loads of good action stunts, not a bad story line either, only Alec Baldwin, another actor should of played that role.

Sisters (6/10) loads of former and current SNL actors in it, had more funny moments than just those in the trailer.
 
Heist (2015) 6/10

As the name implies a heist thriller. Not a particular stand out thriller but decent enough. Not such a fan of certain plot holes & questionable acting.
 
Welcome to me. Story about a mentally disturbed women who wins the lottery and buys her own tv talk show.Interesting enough to keep me watching until the end but can't say I'd recommend it. 6/10.

Also saw Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation over the weekend.
I thought it was very good.
Impressive from Cruise and director Christopher McQuarrie.
Much better than Spectre.

A mediocre interpretation of Barrie's play. Not even close to Disney's interpretation either.

Rather sad
 
Bridge of Spies (2015) 7.5/10

Really enjoyable & interesting Cold War espionage thriller. Tom Hanks makes the lead role his own. Total bummer he does not get a Best Actor nomination.
 
Spotlight - started this yesterday, and it's amazing. Gripping true story, beautifully acted by the entire ensemble cast, and sharply directed. So far I'll give it a 9.
