Dead pool 8/10

Really enjoyed it, very different to the usual superhero movies.

Some genuinely funny moments, but definitely not a movie made with kids in mind. If you have any then you may want to reconsider, but don't moan about being surprised that tits were shown...

my 13yo daughter went to watch it on sunday. she loved it.

Conceptually good, but too predictable and took the totally wrong direction about halfway through.

Morena Baccarin miscast. Needed someone like Amber Heard.

Sicario (2015) 7/10

Solid crime thriller about Mexican drug cartels.Rather dark & intense.Great performances from Emily Blunt & Benicio del Toro.

Creed (2015) 8/10

Far better than I initially suspected. Excellent watch; large dose of heritage & nostalgia. Top performance from Michael B. Jordan as well as Sylvester Stallone's best role in decades.

Last Knights (2015)

With Morgan Freeman and Clive Owen in the cast, I was expecting a lot better than this. Struggled to stay awake for this, and kept wondering if anything of interest would actually happen. A very simple plot, and a very slow developing one at that.

More like, I have a reasonable level of faith in Aaron Sorkin's talent and Randhir's eye for quality, and the previous reviews didn't do much in explaining why they so intensely disliked it.

What do you find strange about me putting more stock in his opinion of a movie than someone else's? You do the exact same thing.

I thought it was a very tight script and Michael Fassbender and Kate Winslet where excellent in it. Maybe not 8/10 but a very solid 7.

What do you think the pitfalls are?

I only read recently that apparently a couple of people have problems with the book its based on, so I'm wondering how much of that is what bothered people about the movie?
